Upper Silurian fossils of bohemian type from NW Spain and their palaeogeographical significance
Journal of the Czech Geological Society, volume 46 (2001), issue 3-4, 247 - 258
The upper Silurian faunas from NW Spain (West-Asturian Leonese and northernmost Central Iberian zones) are reviewed, with description and illustration of new fossil assemblages including trilobites, bivalves, graptolites, conodonts and albailliellid radiolarians. These new data demonstrate the palaeobiogeographical affinities of upper Silurian faunas from NW Spain with other North Gondwanan regions, especially with the Barrandian area of the Czech Republic.
