Who was who? In names of secondary minerals discovered in Jáchymov (Joachimsthal)

  Abstract

Jáchymov is type locality for 17 secondary minerals. The following minerals were named after persons, including several prominent mineralogists of the 19th century: torbenite, haidingerite, johannite, zippeite, voglite, lindackerite, mixite, and albrechtschraufite. The text presents brief biography of persons after which these minerals were named.
