Ordovician ostracodes from Novaya Zemlya

Journal of the Czech Geological Society, volume 46 (2001), issue 3-4, 199 - 212

  Abstract

From the Ordovician of Novaya Zemlya 31 new species and subspecies of ostracodes are described of 28 (10 new) genera and subgenera. Some of the ostracod genera show relations to Baltica, others to Siberia. This fact is a significant expression for the palaegeographically intermediate position of Novaya Zemlya between these two continents during the Ordovician.
